Using the Google Keyword Tool to Analyse Traffic Volume for your Ebooks
Google has recently released a tool for analysing traffic volume. This is great news if you're analysing topics for traffic volume for your ebook, because it gives you actual Google search data. In the past Google hasn't given out numbers of searches, so we've had to use data from other search engines, which is collated by tools such as pixelfast or keyworddiscovery.
So from now on, if you're analysing a list of potential ebook topics, please use the google keyword tool instead of pixelfast or keyworddiscovery.
The tool can be found at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal, or inside of your Google Adwords account under the "tools" button.
To show you exactly how to use the new tool we've put together a short camtasia demonstration. This shows you how to access the tool, how to search for your key words, and how to analyse the results. Please use the buttons below to play this camtasia:

You'll notice on the camtasia we use an excel spread sheet to analyse and interpret the results. Please click here for a copy of the spreadsheet.
